Céline Dion regresó a los escenarios después de seis años de ausencia con un concierto en la Plenitude Arena, en Nanterre, a las afueras de París. La presentación reunió a miles de seguidores y estuvo marcada por la emoción de la cantante, quien retomó los conciertos completos tras el periodo en el que su salud la obligó a alejarse de los escenarios.
La artista, de 58 años, abrió la noche con ‘On ne change pas’ y rompió en llanto durante la interpretación. Poco después aclaró ante el público que se trataba de una emoción positiva: “Estas son, por supuesto, lágrimas de alegría. Estoy encantadísima de verlos”.

Durante el concierto, la cantante se refirió a ese proceso y a la manera en que ha afrontado las dificultades derivadas de su condición.
“Hay algo que puedo decirles en tres palabras: yo estoy bien. He aprendido a vivir con esta fragilidad; al convivir con ella, la he domesticado y he decidido convertirla en una fuerza vital (…) Esta noche cantamos, bailamos y celebramos”, expresó, según recogió Le Parisien.
La presentación tuvo también un momento de dificultad cuando Dion cometió un error mientras interpretaba ‘The Chase’ y tuvo que disculparse antes de continuar. El repertorio incluyó canciones como ‘I’m Alive’, ‘My Heart Will Go On’, ‘The Power of Love’, ‘Love Can Move Mountains’ y ‘The Prayer’.

París recibió a sus seguidores
El regreso de Dion generó una gran expectativa entre sus admiradores. Durante los días previos al concierto, seguidores de diferentes lugares del mundo se reunieron en los alrededores del hotel donde se hospedaba la cantante mientras acudía a sus ensayos.
La ciudad también preparó diferentes actividades relacionadas con la llegada de la artista. Algunas estaciones del metro fueron decoradas con imágenes de Dion y el Ayuntamiento organizó un karaoke multitudinario antes de su primera presentación.

Una residencia de 26 conciertos
La presentación forma parte de una residencia artística de 26 fechas en París. Los primeros conciertos están programados entre septiembre y octubre, mientras que otras diez presentaciones se realizarán en mayo de 2027.
La venta de entradas despertó un enorme interés: nueve millones de personas se registraron para intentar adquirir los primeros boletos, cuyos precios estuvieron entre 89,50 y 298,50 euros.
La presencia de Dion también podría generar un importante impacto económico en la capital francesa. Choose Paris Region calcula una actividad de entre 500 y 800 millones de euros durante su estancia, mientras que la consultora MKG estima que podría alcanzar los 1.000 millones de euros, según Le Monde.
El desafío detrás de su regreso
Dion reveló en 2022 que padece síndrome de la persona rígida, una enfermedad que afecta el sistema nervioso y puede provocar rigidez muscular, espasmos y dificultades para controlar los movimientos. La condición también ha afectado sus cuerdas vocales.
Su gira, que había comenzado en 2019, terminó siendo suspendida después de las dificultades relacionadas con su salud, luego de haber enfrentado previamente una interrupción por la pandemia de covid-19.
Para prepararse nuevamente, la cantante ha realizado entrenamiento físico y vocal, incluyendo ballet, pilates y terapia vocal. Este proceso le permitió regresar a un escenario para ofrecer nuevamente un concierto completo.

La maternidad era un proyecto que Lady Gaga había mencionado en diferentes entrevistas. La artista, cuyo nombre es Stefani Germanotta y tiene 40 años, había contado que quería formar una familia y que convertirse en madre hacía parte de sus planes personales.

Una convocatoria que comenzó con 1.750 aspirantes
La búsqueda tuvo varias etapas. En total, 1.750 personas se inscribieron en la convocatoria nacional. De ese grupo fueron seleccionados 140 cantantes, quienes avanzaron en el proceso de audiciones.
Después de tres días de pruebas, la competencia llegó a una última fase con tres finalistas. La decisión estuvo en manos de un jurado conformado por Sonia Restrepo, esposa de Yeison Jiménez; Rafael Muñoz, mánager del artista; la presentadora Diva Jessurum y el productor musical Yohan Úsuga. Los integrantes de la banda también hicieron parte del proceso de selección.
Uno de los criterios planteados durante la convocatoria fue que el nuevo cantante no debía convertirse en una imitación de Yeison Jiménez. La búsqueda estaba orientada a encontrar una voz con potencia y capacidad interpretativa, pero que también tuviera una identidad propia para asumir las canciones que hacen parte del repertorio de la agrupación.
Con la elección de Vélez, esa búsqueda llegó a su última etapa y la banda ya tiene definido al artista que ocupará el lugar principal frente al público.

La noticia también fue compartida por el propio Cristian Vélez en sus redes sociales. Tras conocer la decisión, el cantante publicó un mensaje en el que expresó lo que representa para él haber sido escogido.
“Un sueño que comenzó con una ilusión y hoy se convierte en uno de los capítulos más importantes de mi vida”, escribió Vélez.
En la misma publicación etiquetó la cuenta oficial de El Aventurero y utilizó la frase “Con el corazón”, en referencia al proyecto musical.

Su llegada ocurre meses después de la muerte de Yeison Jiménez, quien falleció el 10 de enero de 2026 en un accidente aéreo ocurrido en Paipa, Boyacá. El siniestro también cobró la vida de cinco personas que lo acompañaban.
Tras la tragedia, la agrupación decidió continuar con los compromisos que ya estaban pactados y mantener activo el proyecto musical. Sin embargo, la banda permaneció durante un tiempo sin una voz principal, mientras avanzaba el proceso para definir quién asumiría ese papel.
Una nueva voz para el repertorio de Yeison Jiménez
La decisión de buscar un nuevo vocalista generó diferentes reacciones entre los seguidores del artista. Parte de la discusión estuvo relacionada con la posibilidad de que la incorporación de otra voz pudiera interpretarse como un intento de reemplazar a Yeison Jiménez.

Bringing in more than 71% of the vote, “When in Rome” rose above new tunes streaming in from Jhené Aiko, Slayyyter, Bleachers and more artists.
Dove Cameron’s a very familiar name — besides building a career in television, where she flourished as a young Disney star (Liv and Maddie, The Descendants), she’s been recording music for several years as part of her solo endeavors — but her new single is the first listen off of what will actually be her long-awaited, debut full-length studio album.
The sunny sound of “When in Rome” likely has some in-love-in-real-life inspiration. Cameron’s engaged to Måneskin frontman Damiano David, who’s Italian and happens to have “jet black hair,” much like the muse of the feel-good new track.
“We should fall in love when in Rome,” Cameron sings in bliss. “Why don’t we get married, build a home?/ Something in the summertime/ Maybe all the cherry wine/ Makes me wanna take off my clothes/ And fall in love when in Rome.”
“When in Rome” arrived Friday with a playful music video celebrating romance, directed by Hannah De Vries. On Saturday (Sept. 12), the 33-year-old pop star and actress shared more than a dozen photos on Instagram following the completion of her 2026 Eternal Sunshine Tour, which wrapped up Sept. 1 at the O2 Arena in London.

Beyoncé’s B’Day returns to the Billboard 200 for the first time since 2008, as the set re-enters the chart at No. 8 following its 20th anniversary deluxe reissue. The album was originally released in 2006, debuted at No. 1 and marked the superstar’s second leader.
In the latest tracking week, B’Day earned 38,000 equivalent album units (up 385%). B’Day was expanded with bonus tracks and reissued on two vinyl variants, two download editions and CD. Celine Dion made a triumphant return to the stage this month as the singer kicked off her 26-date Paris residency at the Plenitude Arena in Nanterre on Sept. 12. Dion is staying at the Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris while in town, holding court at the iconic luxury property near the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées. The French-Canadian singer has been seen posing for photos and interacting with fans who have been lining the street in front of the hotel each day in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the star. Le Royal Monceau has also played host to everyone from Michael Jackson to Madonna over the years.
As for the residency, while the concerts are being billed as Dion’s big return to the stage, the singer did perform at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she delivered a soaring rendition of Édith Piaf’s “Hymne A L’Amour” from atop the Eiffel Tower.
