The trek begins Sept. 25 in Minneapolis before making stops in Chicago, New York, Atlanta, San Francisco and more, wrapping Oct. 22 with a hometown show in Los Angeles.

“I’ve been waiting to bring this project to life onstage and create an epic show where my fans can experience the entire world of Valley Girl Problems with me,” Cantrall said in a statement. “This music is so personal, and I can’t wait to sing these songs together every night.”
The tour follows the release of Cantrall’s latest EP, Valley Girl Problems, which earned 2.5 million on-demand official streams in the U.S. in its first week of release, according to Luminate. The nine-track project was produced by Tricky Stewart, whose credits include Rihanna and Tyla, with songwriting contributions from Tayla Parx, who has written for musicians like Ariana Grande and Khalid. Alongside the EP, Cantrall also released an official music video for “Closet” as well as a series of visualizers inspired by the project’s aesthetic.
Though the Valley Girl Problems Tour is her first headlining tour, Cantrall is no stranger to performing for live audiences. The multihyphenate starred as Red, the daughter of the Queen of Hearts, in Disney’s Descendants: The Rise of Red before joining the Descendants/Zombies: Worlds Collide Tour last year, which played more than 40 sold-out arena shows across North America. She also starred in last month’s Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, whose soundtrack debuted at No. 1 on the Kid Albums chart and No. 2 on the Soundtracks chart.

Ella Langley continues heating up the Billboard Hot 100 as “Choosin’ Texas” reigns for a 16th week, while her album Dandelion remains in the top 5 of the all-genre Billboard 200. Now, Langley is bringing a bit of that Dandelion vibe to a new collaboration with Shiner beer.
On Aug. 13, Shiner will launch the limited collaboration Dandelion Honey Kolsch, inspired by her album. The Kolsch-style beer is brewed with dandelion honey, offering sweet floral notes. The bottle is also inspired by the album, with its label featuring honey tones and emblazoned with dandelions.

All eyes in the music world are on Chicago this weekend, as Grant Park plays host to another year of Lollapalooza. With the weather looking uncertain for the festival’s later days, thousands flocked to the Chicago Riverwalk on a sun-kissed Thursday afternoon (July 30) to kick off Lolla.
Performances began around noon CT across nine different stages and wrapped up with Lorde making her return to the Lolla stage for the first time since 2017 with Chicago’s own John Summit co-headlining on opposite ends of the park.
The rest of the day saw performances from Filipino boy band SB19, who made history as the first P-pop group to perform at Lolla, as well as Bella Kay, Blood Orange, Little Simz, Boys Noize, Audrey Hobert, Sombr, 5 Seconds of Summer and Wet Leg.
A jam-packed weekend remains on tap, with anticipated headlining sets from Charli xcx, who made a guest appearance during Lorde’s performance, as well as Olivia Dean, Tate McRae, The xx, Smashing Pumpkins and Jennie.
There was chatter on the festival grounds from fans speculating that A-listers Olivia Rodrigo, who was allegedly spotted at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, and Ariana Grande could be popping up. Ari’s Eternal Sunshine Tour comes to Chi-Town on Aug. 3.
Lollapalooza has remained one of the premier U.S. festivals by mixing a range of superstars with upstarts and legacy acts spanning different generations. 2025’s Lolla saw headlining performances from Olivia Rodrigo, Tyler, the Creator, Sabrina Carpenter, A$AP Rocky and Doechii.

Fans shared their dismay on Reddit, revealing that several ticket holders had received refunds for their purchases without reason over the weekend. Many also expressed suspicion about the fact that the festival’s online presence has essentially disappeared completely, with no reachable support email (one fan reported that the email bounced back to them as “invalid”), a deactivated website, and deleted social media accounts. According to an X user who posted a screenshot of an email from Yours Always Festival, the event has been canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
The two-day festival was first announced June 24 along with its diverse lineup, with Boone — whose smash hit “Beautiful Things” became one of the biggest songs of 2024 on the Billboard Hot 100, landing at No. 3 on the year-end chart — and sombr, who has quickly emerged as one of pop’s fastest-rising artists with multiple Hot 100 entries, set to headline. Beyond the two pop stars, the inaugural event was expected to also include Stephen Sanchez, Labrinth, Joshua Bassett, Daniel Seavey, Bella Kay, BØRNS, the Hellp, Voila and Thomas Day. The festival coined itself on its now-archived website as “a new music experience coming to Salt Lake City.”
Billboard has reached out to representatives for Boone and sombr for comment on the festival’s cancellation, including whether the artists’ teams were notified before ticket holders learned the event had been called off.

Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash has sold out its 2026 edition, with nearly 15,000 people expected to attend the outback Australian music festival later this month.
The three-day camping festival is set for Aug. 20-22 at Belmont Station on the Mundi Mundi Plains, about 35 km north of Broken Hill in New South Wales.
This year’s lineup includes The Teskey Brothers, Jon Stevens, John Butler, Boy & Bear, Baby Animals, Jessica Mauboy, The Whitlams, Leo Sayer, Tim Finn, Troy Cassar-Daley, Chocolate Starfish, Mi-Sex, Furnace and the Fundamentals, Wendy Matthews, The Radiators, Shane Howard and Fanny Lumsden.
The sellout marks a significant result for the regional destination event, which organizers say has reached capacity less than a month out from showtime despite broader cost-of-living pressures and higher travel costs affecting discretionary spending.
“It’s exciting to announce that we’re at capacity — with nearly 15,000 people set to rock the Outback this month,” Greg Donovan, festival founder and managing director of the Outback Music Festival Group, said in a statement. “Thousands of these travellers are already hitting the road and going to join us for our new Lightfest event that will be staged on the streets of Broken Hill in the week leading into the Mundi Mundi Bash.”
For Outback Music Festival Group, the 2026 result extends a sellout streak for the event, which launched during a difficult period for Australia’s live sector and has built its audience around destination travel, camping culture and multi-generational Australian music programming.
“We launched the Mundi Mundi Bash during very tough times for events,” Donovan said. “We survived the Covid years consistently selling out the event, and this year it’s been the fuel crisis and tough economic times that have impacted consumer spending. And yet here we are — announcing a sellout of our biggest event yet.”
He added, “We’re incredibly grateful for our audience who choose to spend their time and money with us, we’re going to repay that support with an incredible party in the desert later this month.”
The 2026 edition will also expand the event’s footprint beyond the festival site with Lightfest, a free prelude event staged in the streets of Broken Hill in the week before the Bash. The three-night activation will feature a large-scale drone light show and street programming for both locals and incoming festivalgoers.
Lightfest is part of the Transport for NSW Open Streets Program: Foundation Events 2026-27, which is designed to bring activity into streets across New South Wales. The program forms part of the NSW Government’s Vibrant Streets Package.
Another new addition is Bash Choir, which replaces the festival’s previous Nutbush world-record attempt. Taking place Friday, Aug. 21, the choir event will see thousands of attendees gather in the main concert area to learn and perform Tina Turner’s “The Best” — often referred to as “Simply the Best” — in a nod to the festival’s previous Tina Turner-linked Nutbush tradition. The activation will raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Other off-stage programming includes the Big Blue Day map of Australia world-record attempt, raising funds for Beyond Blue; the Mundi Undie Run, also raising funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service; Mad Max dress-up; camel and helicopter rides; comedy; morning yoga on the plains; and dunny door painting.
The all-ages, dog-friendly and BYO festival is aimed at families, grey nomads, camping and caravanning travelers and destination-event audiences. Ticket holders can bring their own food and alcohol, with food vendors and non-alcoholic beverages also available on site.
The Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash is supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and events agency, Destination NSW.

Hablemos de tu álbum debut, no fue real. Cuéntame la historia detrás de este material.
El álbum es mi proyecto más personal. Habla de una ruptura y de todas sus fases, desde todas sus perspectivas y de arriba a abajo. Es la consecuencia de una relación compleja. Es cómo lo he analizado yo desde una perspectiva que me dejó verlo desde fuera. De alguna manera, esto me hizo sanar y hacer terapia para procesar una relación pasada que tuve. Al final, hice un cuerpo de trabajo del cual estoy muy orgullosa. Es mi primer álbum y siento que tiene un sentido muy lindo, que me hace mucha ilusión.
Considero que fue un proceso muy catártico, ¿lo sientes así?
Sí, totalmente. Al final, me abrí muchísimo. Me pregunté qué tan preparada estaba para compartir todo esto. Yo escribo por mí y para mí, sobre todo para procesar las cosas. Pero evidentemente las cosas iban a llegar a otro lugar. Esta es mi manera de procesarlo y sacarlo porque era lo que necesitaba. Era un poco la contradicción de que lo necesitaba, pero también me daba miedo abrirme tanto, sobre todo el contar mi vida personal. Al final, salió tan natural y dije: ‘Si no hablo de esto, ¿de qué más voy a hablar?’.
¿Hubo momentos en los que quisiste dar marcha atrás?
Sí y no. Hay 13 canciones en el álbum, pero escribimos como 35 o 40. Muchas de las canciones en las que sentí que eran demasiado, o que salieron de un sitio más de rabia, dije que no eran mi esencia, entonces nunca iban a entrar. Escogí las que contaban mejor mi historia, las que sentí más mías y que eran personales. Estas canciones explican perfectamente el sentimiento, sobre todo con las que las personas se pueden identificar. Con las que me eché para atrás, fueron justo las que no entraron.
Mencionas que los sentimientos de rabia los dejaste fuera, pero, ¿no crees que también son parte del camino?
Total. También están en el disco, en el medio. El material está ordenado. Y estos están en el medio porque son los sentimientos que tienes justo después de terminar una relación, es la típica fase. Después ya te vas más a la parte de nostalgia. Todo se ve en el disco. El final es desde un sitio mucho más de gratitud y alegría por lo vivido.
no fue real te ayudó a descubrir quién eres a nivel personal y profesional. ¿Qué encontraste a lo largo de este material?
Lo que no sabía de mí era mi sonido; este proyecto me ayudó a encontrarlo. No lo había encontrado porque es un proceso que tarda, y a veces tarda por años. Sí que he encontrado un sonido con el que me siento identificada por ahora. Ahora puedo decir: ‘Wow, esta soy yo como artista’. Esta fue una de las cosas que descubrí de mí. Otra cosa fue mi crecimiento, tanto escribiendo como viviéndolo. Siento que realmente me ha dado un crecimiento muy grande en mi vida.
Me encanta lo que mencionas sobre tu camino sonoro. Es un pop, pero una vertiente muy dreamy y a la vez tocando el pop rock.
Lo guay es que están todos los tipos de pop que a mí me gustan, que me hacen sentir identificada. Hay pop rock, dreamy pop y también hay indie y folclóricas, hasta country. Fue algo muy divertido.
Amo la nueva ola del pop que está renaciendo, un nuevo aire que es muy diferente a lo que se vió en los 2000.
Totalmente. Es un renacimiento, y ser una pop girly es muy guay. También están saliendo artistas increíbles. Esto también pasa gracias a artistas como Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Dean, Olivia Rodrigo, Clairo, Chapell Roan, entre muchas otras. Es muy guay como está reviviendo el pop. Estoy muy contenta como fan y como persona que admiro a las chicas pop. También me gusta beber de su influencia, sobre todo entender cómo lo hacen, no necesariamente en su sonido, sino en cómo ellas hacen su trabajo en crear estéticas, un mundo y muchas cosas más. Es increíble como hacen un universo en donde habitan ellas, sus canciones, el estilismo y cómo lo van a comunicar en sus redes sociales, que hoy en día es súper importante. Todo es un arte, no solo es hacer música. Todo lo de crear un mundo y hacer un interés por ti es esto. Las chicas pop lo están haciendo increíble.
Exacto. Y justo como lo mencionas, es una inspiración, no es una copia, porque justo ellas, en su momento, se inspiraron de Hannah Montana, quien fue la pionera de toda una generación.
Claro. Por ejemplo, Addison Rae sigue la inspiración de Britney Spears, pero a su manera. Eso también me parece súper interesante. Es recordar y homenajear a las artistas que nos dieron camino.
Hablamos de influencias actuales, pero, ¿tienes influencias un poco más heritage?
Muchísimas. Desde pequeña, a nivel vocal, he admirado a Mariah Carey, soy muy fan. Stevie Nicks me parece la reina del rock n roll; Norah Jones siento que es una gran predecesora de un momento más melódico y melancólico; Stevie Wonder; también de un montón de grupos de los 70 como The Beatles, Pearl Jam. Siento que en general es encontrar las inspiraciones en lo antiguo, y considero que Chapell Roan súper bien al inspirarse en gente como Kate Bush y todo ese mundo, que al final son referentes.
Al final: ‘Alma vieja en un mundo contemporáneo’.
Yo siempre lo he sido. Desde siempre he tenido una hiperfijación en las Spice Girls. Me encantan y me obsesionan, y no solo por la música que hicieron, sino también por todo lo que marcaron: cómo hicieron su branding, su momento icónico, sus personalidades distintas aún siendo cinco personas, la tropa, sus outfits icónicos, la manera en comunicaste, mil cosas. Me inspiran muchísimo.
Creo que eso lo compartiste en la parte visual de no fue real. Me siento como en un viaje a través del tiempo. Siento que estás presente, y, a la vez, también en el pasado.
Me gusta mucho que digas eso, que lo expliques así. Yo quería hacer un momento más onírico para la parte visual de no fue real. Me inspiro mucho en el pasado, pero también en el tiempo actual. Son muchas cosas. Me inspiro en todo lo que veo: los colores, las canciones que escucho, los lugares, las personas que he conocido, todo.
¿Sientes que al compartir la historia de no fue real te liberas o, de alguna forma, la vuelves a revivir constantemente?
Yo quiero que sea una liberación, 100%. Siempre me dio miedo hablar de este tema, entonces está guay sacarlo y ya está. No hay más, es de la gente. Ellos se podrán sentir identificados, y espero que les guste. Es del mundo. Me hace mucha ilusión quitarme el peso y dárselo al universo.
En la composición estuviste acompañada de nombres como Nina Minguez, Nicole Zignago, Daniela Spalla, Mauro Muñoz, Lusillón y el propio Sabater, entre otros. Cuéntame sobre esto y la experiencia que te llevaste.
Fue una experiencia increíble. Es una cosa que yo nunca había hecho. Comencé a escribir con 14 o 15 años, y a la fecha siempre lo había hecho sola. Mis primeros dos EP los hice sola, después los llevaba al estudio y el productor me ayudaba a acabar algunas partes. Pero ahora, sentarme en el estudio a hacer algo desde cero con alguien es súper guay porque al final hablamos de un tema universal. Todas hemos atravesado una ruptura. Te da para llegar a más cosas a comparación de cuando compones solo. Ha sido increíble, sobre todo cuando tienes la suerte de trabajar con gente a la cual admiro muchísimo. He tenido mucha suerte de trabajar con gente muy cool.
¿Cómo defines la llegada de no fue real en esta etapa de tu carrera?
La defino como mi carta de presentación oficial. Este es mi principio. Es mi pura esencia y mi verdadero yo. Son mis palabras, mis vivencias, mi vida, mis estética soñada y el sonido que siempre he querido que me representara. Este es el disco que siempre había soñado tener en mi discografía. Creo que es lo que siempre soñé desde los 14 años. Es el visual que siempre imaginé cuando soñaba con ser artista. Es bonito haberlo cumplido y conseguido.
