La actriz estadounidense Hayden Panettiere, reconocida por sus papeles en las series ‘Héroes’ y ‘Nashville’, murió a los 36 años en Carolina del Sur, Estados Unidos.
La noticia fue confirmada por su familia, que pidió privacidad durante el duelo por la muerte de la intérprete, quien comenzó su carrera artística cuando era una niña y durante más de dos décadas participó en producciones de televisión y cine.
En un comunicado, su padre, Skip Panettiere, recordó a su hija como “una luz increíble y una fuerza de la naturaleza que trajo amor y alegría inmensurables a todos los que la conocieron y a millones que la vieron en las pantallas”.
Por ahora, las autoridades no han establecido oficialmente la causa ni la manera de su muerte.
Hayden Panettiere fue encontrada inconsciente
La Oficina del Forense del Condado de Greenville informó que alrededor de la 1:51 de la tarde del domingo recibió una llamada relacionada con una persona en paro cardíaco.
Los servicios médicos de emergencia y los socorristas llegaron hasta una residencia de Greenville, donde encontraron inconsciente a Panettiere. La actriz se encontraba alojada temporalmente en ese lugar, aunque su residencia habitual estaba en California.
Los equipos de emergencia iniciaron maniobras avanzadas de reanimación cardiopulmonar, pero no lograron reanimarla. Panettiere fue declarada muerta a las 2:32 de la tarde.
Según TMZ, que citó fuentes policiales, un amigo de la actriz realizó la llamada al 911 después de encontrarla inconsciente.
La autopsia no determinó la causa de muerte
La autopsia de Panettiere ya fue completada. Sin embargo, la Oficina del Forense señaló que todavía son necesarios estudios adicionales antes de establecer una conclusión definitiva.
Durante el procedimiento no fueron encontrados signos de traumatismo que hubieran contribuido al fallecimiento.
Shelton England, subjefe forense del condado de Greenville, explicó a CNN que determinar la causa y la manera de la muerte podría tomar varias semanas, mientras se esperan los resultados de las pruebas toxicológicas.
La investigación permanece activa y, hasta ahora, no existe una causa de muerte confirmada oficialmente.
Reportes durante la emergencia
La revista People informó que, durante las comunicaciones de emergencia relacionadas con el caso, funcionarios hicieron referencia a una posible sobredosis y a un paro cardíaco.
No obstante, estas menciones corresponden a las comunicaciones registradas durante la atención de la emergencia y no constituyen una confirmación oficial de la causa del fallecimiento.

Las autoridades tampoco han reportado indicios de actividad delictiva relacionados con la muerte de la actriz.
Una carrera que comenzó en la infancia
Panettiere inició su trayectoria artística a los cuatro años, cuando formó parte de la telenovela estadounidense ‘One Life to Live’.
En 1998 participó como actriz de voz en ‘A Bug’s Life’, de Pixar. Posteriormente apareció en películas como ‘Remember the Titans’, junto a Denzel Washington, además de ‘Raising Helen’, ‘Ice Princess’ y ‘Bring It On: All or Nothing’.
Su gran salto llegó con ‘Héroes’, serie de ciencia ficción emitida entre 2006 y 2010. Allí interpretó a Claire Bennet, una joven con capacidades extraordinarias, personaje que la convirtió en una figura reconocida internacionalmente.
El éxito de ‘Nashville’
En 2012 comenzó otra etapa importante de su carrera con ‘Nashville’, producción en la que interpretó a Juliette Barnes, una cantante de música country que buscaba consolidarse en la industria musical.

La noticia generó mensajes de colegas y amigos de la industria. Entre quienes expresaron su pesar estuvieron Viola Davis, Bethany Joy Lenz y Melissa Barrera, esta última compañera de Panettiere en ‘Scream VI’.
El sindicato estadounidense SAG-AFTRA, del que la actriz era miembro desde 1994, también manifestó sus condolencias a sus familiares, amigos y seguidores.
Panettiere deja a su hija, Kaya, quien nació durante su relación con el exboxeador ucraniano Wladimir Klitschko.

Puerto Rican megastar Ricky Martin and Brazilian DJ, singer and producer Pedro Sampaio will perform at the halftime show of the 2026 NFL Rio Game in Brazil on Sept. 27, the NFL’s biggest international season to date, Billboard can exclusively announce Monday (Aug. 17).
The Baltimore Ravens will face the Dallas Cowboys that Sunday at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracanã Stadium, marking the first NFL regular-season game in the city. The performance will be the second of a record seven halftime shows presented by American Express during the NFL’s 2026 International Games, which will span seven countries and four continents. The game will begin at 4:25 p.m. ET.

The announcement follows the previously confirmed performance of the Jonas Brothers at the 2026 NFL Melbourne Game on Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the first-ever NFL game in Australia.
