Mientras repasaba los momentos más memorables de Live ’25, la gira que selló el histórico reencuentro de los hermanos Gallagher tras más de una década y media de separación, Noel fue consultado sobre cuál había sido el mejor concierto de todo el recorrido. Según explicó Noel, la elección de Buenos Aires como punto más alto de la gira está directamente relacionada con esa comunión. “Muchos amigos míos de Inglaterra vinieron y fue algo increíble; el público estuvo fantástico”, señaló. After spending two years leading his Las Vegas residency at Sphere, Kenny Chesney is returning to stadiums in 2027.
The Country Music Hall of Famer will launch his Original Vibe Room Tour 2027 on April 24 in Tampa, Florida (marking his eighth appearance at Raymond James Stadium), with the tour also making stops in Chicago, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Detroit and Nashville before concluding at Foxborough, Massachusetts’ Gillette Stadium on Aug. 28.

Joining Chesney are CMA entertainer of the year winner Eric Church, nine-time Grammy winner Sheryl Crow and newcomer Greylan James, known as a writer on songs by Jordan Davis, Morgan Wallen and more, as well as his own “Water at a Wedding.”
“When we started to talk about touring next year, all I could think about was how good those stadiums feel… how loud, how fast, how much energy comes hurling at us,” Chesney said in a statement. “I don’t think I knew how much I missed it. And when it hit me, as well as watching comments on Instagram and Facebook, I realized: we should make next year be all about the stadiums. So, we did.”
Chesney continued, “To make it really hit, I called Eric, who’d come out that first weekend in Vegas and sang a few with me, to see if he’d want to do this. He was in. Then to give fans a twist, something a little different, but someone who rocks and everyone in No Shoes Nation loves, I asked Sheryl Crow if she wanted to come play with us; and she said, ‘Yes.’ Suddenly, we’ve got all that high-powered energy, and it was starting to feel the same way we did way back in the day…”
The tour will mark Chesney’s 25th show at Gillette Stadium and his 13th year in Pittsburgh and Detroit, as well as his 12th stadium show in Philadelphia and ninth stop in New Jersey, Dallas-Fort Worth and Kansas City.
“It’s crazy to think these stadiums where I see football played every week are like coming home for the band and myself, but also really No Shoes Nation which rose out of these stadium parking lots. Stadiums are where we come most alive – and this tour’s taking it to a whole other level,” Chesney said.
Before the tour launches next year, Chesney will release his 21st album, Silver Sands Marina, on Sept. 25. The 11-song project will mark his first on his new independent label Hey Now Records, which launched earlier this year.

Jason Kelce got the memo: what happened at MSG stays at MSG. But that didn’t stop the former NFL great for spilling a little on his brother Travis Kelce’s wedding to Taylor Swift this summer during ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown show on Monday (Sept. 14).
Before Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs demolished the Denver Broncos 31-10 on the first Monday Night Football matchup of the season, Jason Kelce pried the door open just a bit on what the vibe was like at the New York arena for the star-studded affair whose details have remained the best kept secret in show business.
“So many awesome people, obviously, all walks of life,” said Jason, who was the best man at the July 3 affair. “The football world, celebrity world, singers from Nashville, actors, actresses, people that we grew up with in Cleveland Heights, a melting pot of individuals,” said Jason of the guest mix he described as “insane.”
Jason said the ceremony was “gorgeous,” saying the couple did an “incredible job” putting together the event that was officiated by actor/comedian Adam Sandler in what Kelce described as “in a very Adam Sandler, beautiful way.” ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt, who was also at the wedding, seconded that emotion, saying of Sandler, “yes, he did.”
“And then, from then on, it was a party. It was so good seeing everybody out there,” Jason said, giving out some extra love to “all of the people that sang” and “all the people dancing. It was a very fun evening.”
While we know for sure the couple got hitched — mostly because billboards outside MSG read “JUST&T MARRIED,” very few details about what went on inside have leaked so far, other than some of the names on the guest list, which included performers Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks, as well as Ciara, Avril Lavigne, Tate McRae and Ice Spice. Even Travis has kept details sparse in the interviews he’s done since the wedding, including in a teaser clip of an ESPN interview with Chris Berman in which Kelce called the wedding the “best night of my life.” He added, “Marrying Taylor was, you know, it was more than I could have ever dreamed it to be because of all the people that showed up … and the amount of, you know, love that was in the air.”
Travis talked a bit more about the special night on the recent season premiere of his New Heights podcast with Jason, where he said, “Me and Taylor are so thankful to everybody that showed up. It was just so magical, man. Thank you to everyone at MSG that allowed us to do this. We wanted to do it somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions, we needed it to be a private feel.”
Late Night With Stephen Colbert went out in style, winning outstanding variety series at the 78th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, which were presented at the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Monday (Sept. 14). The show won a total of six Emmys for its final season, the most it ever won in any one season.
Widow’s Bay won a total of 14 Primetime Emmys, setting new records for the most wins in a single season by a comedy series, and most wins in a freshman season by a comedy series. It tops The Studio, which set new records in both categories with 13 wins last year.

Widow’s Bay was the top award recipient this year across the three nights of the Primetime Emmys. Runners-up were The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny, DTF St. Louis, The Pitt and The Traitors, each of which won seven awards.
Mariska Hargitay hosted the show, becoming the first woman to host the show in 15 years. She opened with “I Love TV Screens,” a parody version of Joan Jett & the Blackhearts’ “I Love Rock ’N Roll,” a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks in 1982. The spot featured cameos by basketball star Jalen Brunson, Jennifer Coolidge and Jean Smart.
Later in the show, she did a parody version of Supertramp’s “Goodbye Stranger,” a No. 15 hit on the Hot 100 in 1979, in which she saluted the many shows that are ending their runs this year.
Hargitay and the cast of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit performed a clever sketch, which spoofed Taylor Swift fans’ obsessive search for clues about her next moves. Swift, a friend of Hargitay, made a fun cameo appearance in the sketch.

Colbert’s show had won outstanding talk series in 2025, soon after its cancellation was announced. This year it won in the outstanding variety series category that Colbert had won twice (2013-14) with The Colbert Report, his previous show on Comedy Central, and that Late Show With David Letterman won six times (1994 and 1998-2002).
Beginning this year, the Television Academy combined outstanding scripted variety series and outstanding talk series into a single category: outstanding variety series. The academy also converted it to what they call “an area award,” which means the nominees aren’t directly competing against each other. Instead, voters answer one question for each nominated show: “Does this nominee merit an Emmy?” Any series that receives at least 90% “yes” votes is awarded an Emmy. (If no nominee meets that threshold, the show with the highest approval percentage takes the trophy.) So, all five nominees could have won – or as few as one, which is what transpired this year.
The other nominees in the category were The Daily Show (Comedy Central), Jimmy Kimmel Live! (ABC), Last Week Tonight With John Oliver (HBO) and Saturday Night Live (NBC). Three of these shows had won an outstanding series award in the past. The only one that hadn’t previously won is Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which has now gone 0-15 in the category.
“Thank you so much on behalf of the over 200 people who threw themselves at this show for 11 years to try to do the best show they possibly could for you,” Colbert said upon winning the award. “… I want to thank so many people in this room. Over the last 21 years, I’ve interviewed at least 1,000 of you. Thank you for coming on to talk to this idiot. I want you to know that you were the perfect guest. The segment went great, and I’m sorry I forgot to play your clip.

Early in the telecast, Jean Smart (Hacks) and Allison Janney (The Diplomat) each won their eighth Primetime Emmys as performers, moving into a tie with Cloris Leachman and Julia Louis-Dreyfus for the most Emmy wins in performing/acting categories.
Matthew Rhys became the first person to win outstanding lead actor honors in two fields: comedy series (Widow’s Bay) and limited or anthology series or movie (The Beast in Me).
Notably, a series in its first season has won outstanding comedy series in three of the past four years. The Bear won in 2023, preceding these back-to-back wins for The Studio and Widow’s Bay.
The Traitors won outstanding reality competition program for the third year in a row. It’s the first show to win three times in a row in this category since RuPaul’s Drag Race won four in a row from 2018-21.
The Pitt is the first show to take best drama series in each of its first two seasons since Mad Men, which won in each of its first four seasons.
There were cast reunions to honor Buffy, the Vampire Slayer; Baywatch; and Charlie’s Angels. Of these three shows, only Buffy won an Emmy during its run. Baywatch was never even nominated.

“Thank you for selling this b–ch out,” Charli xcx thanked the Barclays Center crowd on Monday night (Sept. 14). Certainly, Brooklyn made for relatively safe early territory for the alt-pop star’s latest arena trek, as few other areas in the country are more likely to intuitively grasp the combined garage rock, dingy dancefloor and high art energy that comprises Charli’s Music, Fashion, Film era.
Considering that the last time she came through Barclays was on the Brat Tour in 2025 — after visiting Manhattan’s Madison Square Garden on the Sweat co-headlining tour with Troye Sivan in 2024 — it’s not surprising that the Music, Fashion, Film Tour felt like a little less of a pop culture event, without the rush of the world’s eyes being on the scene inside the arena in quite the same way. But the overall experience might have been richer, with Charli now able to mix her grungy confessionals with her self-aware club anthems and her twinkling hyperpop gems in a way that reveals them to all be coming from basically the same place, and sounding pretty dynamite when stacked back-to-back in a brilliantly designed live set.
The Music, Fashion, Film Tour so far closely follows the live set Charli debuted at a number of festival dates — most prominently Chicago’s Lollapalooza in late July — but also makes room for a number of additional songs, as well as the odd special guest or two. (Underscores also quickly proved an inspired choice of stateside opener, with her future-forward pop songs, full-bodied delivery and impressive emotional connection doing Charli’s legacy in advanced modern pop proud.)
Charli herself kept the banter to a minimum on Monday, mostly letting the songs (and her flailing dance moves) speak for themselves — with additional emotional support from her phalanxes of backing dancers and live backing band. It all added up to a a high-point performance from a pop star who functions just as naturally as a club kid and underground rocker, with all of her personas feeding into one singularly iconic presence in contemporary music: “It’s Charli, babyyyyy…“

There will doubtless be tributes to Dolly Parton on many upcoming awards shows – the CMA Awards, the ACM Awards, the Grammys and the Oscars, to name a few. But the Primetime Emmys, airing on Monday (Sept. 14) — just three weeks after Parton died of cancer at age 80 — were the first.
Sally Field, who co-starred with Parton in the 1989 film Steel Magnolias, presented the tribute, which featured a performance by Parton’s longtime friend, Reba McEntire.

The spot was extremely well-produced, though it didn’t mention that Parton first rose to prominence in 1967 on a TV program, The Porter Wagoner Show, or that she soared to stardom in the late 1970s with winning appearances on such programs as The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, or that she won a Primetime Emmy five years ago.
“If there are truly angels on Earth, then we just lost one, Dolly Parton,” Field said. “It was my great good fortune to have worked with Dolly in a film called Steel Magnolias, and over the years, I never stopped loving her. Though we lived very far apart, I adored her from day one. How could you not? She was genuine and humble, supportive, and blisteringly funny, with a bawdy sense of humor that would send any rude guy looking for a place to hide. I couldn’t see then what a real giant Dolly was – not just as an artist, but as a human. She was a humanitarian whose contributions had made a profound difference in the lives of so many in her home state of Tennessee and across our country. God bless you, Dolly Parton, my friend. I am not the only one on earth that will love you forever and ever.”
The show then aired a clip of Parton performing in 1983. “I’m very very proud of the fact that I had the kind of parents that I did and grew up in the Smoky Mountains, the Appalachian Mountains, and I’ve written a song that touches me very deep, and I’m sure that in your own way, that you certainly will relate to this. This song, like I say, is very important to me, and I hope you like it. And if you don’t like it, well, if you don’t mind, I would rather not hear about it later. OK? It’s a song that I call ‘Appalachian Memories.’”
Parton included the song on her 1983 album Burlap & Satin. The song wasn’t a hit, even on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart, but it was a great choice here because it meant a lot to Parton. And it showed the depth of her catalog.
McEntire performed it live, with her characteristic class and warmth. “I love you, Dolly, so much,” she said at the end of her performance.
Parton won a Primetime Emmy five years ago as executive producer of Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square, which was voted outstanding television movie. She received her first Primetime Emmy nod 48 years ago as a guest on Cher’s ABC special, Cher … Special. She received three more nominations as executive producer of the specials Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love (2017), Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings: These Old Bones (2020) and Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas (2023), all of which were nominated for outstanding television movie.
The segment saluting Parton aired prior to the annual In Memoriam segment, which included a Noah Kahan performance.
Noah Kahan soundtracked an especially emotional “in memoriam” segment at the 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday night (Sept. 14), which was introduced by the movie and TV children of late actress Catherine O’Hara.
Home Alone star Macauley Culkin tearfully remembered how O’Hara showed up for him in life just like a real parent would after first portraying his mother in the 1990 Christmas classic. Then Schitt’s Creek stars Annie Murphy and Dan Levy both shared joyful memories of O’Hara on set as their quirky mother in the 2015-20 television comedy as well as sweet recollections of how strangers rallied around them in the wake of her death at age 71 in January.

Following their intro, Kahan took the stage to perform Simon & Garfunkel‘s “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” playing acoustic guitar and backed by a mournful string section. The folk duo’s 1970 six-week Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit has long soundtracked poignant moments, thanks to its sad-but-hopeful lyrics: “When darkness comes and pain is all around/ Like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay me down.”
Once Kahan finished his performance, Jamie Lee Curtis took the stage to pay tribute to Rob Reiner, the actor/director who first made a name for himself playing Michael “Meathead” Stivic on the 1970s sitcom All in the Family and was tragically murdered alongside his wife, Michelle, in December. Curtis sobbed throughout her remembrance to the Hollywood legend. “He was generous and kind and funny as hell and a friend to all.”
Earlier in the Emmys broadcast, there was a stand-alone tribute to Dolly Parton, who died last month of cancer at age 80. Sally Field, who co-starred with Parton in Steel Magnolias, introduced the tribute and Reba McEntire performed “Appalachian Memories.”

While Swift chose the Chiefs/Broncos game over Monday’s Emmys, she did pre-tape a Law & Order: SVU sketch with her longtime friend Mariska Hargitay, who hosted the awards show. The sketch was all about decoding whether Swift would attend the show — seeing as she was nominated this year for outstanding variety special (pre-recorded), among five nominations for Disney+’s Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show; The Muppet Show special starring Sabrina Carpenter took the prize instead.
The IFPI, the international trade body that represents the recorded music business, has launched a new initiative through which participants commit to baseline practices to prevent, detect and respond to streaming fraud.
Dubbed the “Streaming Integrity Initiative,” or SII, it has so far been supported by Absolute Label Services, ADA, AWAL, CD Baby, CmdShft, Ditto Music, FUGA, GoDigital, HYBE, IDOL, IMPALA, InnerCat Music Group, Merlin, Redeye, Revelator, RouteNote, Secretly Distribution, Symphonic, Sony Music Group, The Orchard, Too Lost, Universal Music Group, Virgin Music Group and Warner Music Group. Notably, the largest DIY music distributor, Distrokid, has not yet signed on.

To be part of SII, participants sign on to five core commitments, including:
- Know Your Customer (KYC) checks to “verify rights ownership and customer identities through robust rights verification”
- Content vetting “using effective tools and processes to identify infringement, fraudulent activity and AI-related risks”
- Detection, investigation and mitigation of suspected fraud, including repeat offenders
- Intelligence sharing, where legally permitted, to prevent offenders from jumping from service-to-service
- Continuously strengthening and measuring anti-fraud systems to address evolving threats
SII is the latest move by the recorded music industry to get a handle on the persistent issue of streaming fraud, or the manipulation of digital service providers (DSPs) to siphon royalties from plays that are not from genuine fans. Experts say that the problem is significant, costing artists and platforms hundreds of millions, or even billions, each year — and as AI makes it easier than ever to perform these schemes, it’s become a hot topic.
In recent years, Trust and Safety, a symposium run by by Music Business Association, was formed for the express purpose of educating the music establishment about the issue. Two years ago, a coalition of industry players formed the Music Fights Fraud Alliance (MFFA) in the U.S. to band together distributors and streaming services and establish a way to share data and coordinate anti-fraud efforts. A representative for SII says that while the initiative liases closely with the MFFA, it is not directly connected.
SII is part of a wider campaign from the IFPI called End Streaming Fraud that aims to raise awareness for the issue. According to French streaming service Deezer, the problem is deeply tied to the rise of generative AI music online: The service reported earlier this year that up to 80% of streams on AI songs are artificial. The development of agentic AI also poses a threat, allowing bad actors to more easily scale illegal bot farms.
“Streaming fraud misleads fans and deprives legitimate artists and songwriters of income that should rightfully flow to them,” Victoria Oakley, CEO of IFPI, said in a statement. “This is theft, plain and simple.
