Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters quickly became one of the streamer’s biggest animated hits, earning widespread acclaim for its animation, Grammy-winning K-pop music, and memorable cast of heroes and villains. The film’s massive global success has transformed it into a full-fledged merchandising powerhouse, with fans eagerly collecting everything from apparel to toys inspired by HUNTR/X and the supernatural world they protect.

Jazwares is among the latest companies to expand the franchise with an officially licensed KPop Demon Hunters Squishmallows collection. The collaboration introduces four fan-favorite characters in plush form: Rumi, Jinu, Sussie, and Derpy. The lineup joins Jazwares’ growing range of KPop Demon Hunters products, with the company also planning additional plush and BumBumz inspired by the film for global retailers.

The design shows off Rumi’s most recognizable features, including her embroidered mismatched eyes and woven purple braid. Her coffee-brown right eye represents her human side, while the glowing amber left eye symbolizes her demon heritage as a human-demon hybrid (cambion).

Jinu joins the Squishmallows lineup in an eight-inch plush that captures his signature appearance from the film. Like every release in the collection, it is an officially-licensed Netflix product crafted from Squishmallows’ ultrasoft material and features the official Squishmallows seal for collectors.

Sussie’s compact size makes it ideal for display alongside the rest of the KPop Demon Hunters Squishmallows collection.

Constructed from Squishmallows’ ultrasoft material, Derpy joins Rumi, Jinu, and Sussie as part of the franchise’s first wave of collectible plushies.

Scheduled for release on Aug. 20 and currently available for pre-order on Amazon, the BumBumz set includes plush versions of the Light Stick, White Couch, Ramen and Derpy, transforming memorable items and characters from the film into quirky collectibles. Sized at 4.5 inches, the plushes are designed for easy display, travel, or desk décor.

The Squishmallows launch is just one of several major merch collaborations following the movie’s breakout success, alongside Mattel KPop Demon Hunters dolls, Hasbro’s NERF role-play weapons and Furby collectibles, Little People Collector set, Old Navy apparel, Vans footwear and other officially licensed products that continue to expand the franchise beyond the screen.

The physical edition marks another milestone in the film’s continued popularity, giving collectors a premium home-video release to pair with the growing lineup of official merchandise. Details on possible bonus features have not been released yet, but The Criterion Collection’s DVDs tend to include deleted scenes, bonus material, and audio and visual updates.

Andy Bickers, the New Zealand-born saxophonist whose playing became a defining element of Cold Chisel’s live sound across more than three decades, has died following a battle with cancer. He was 56.

Cold Chisel confirmed his death on Friday morning in a statement posted to social media. “Our much-loved sax player of more than 30 years, Andy Bickers, passed away this morning after a hard-fought battle with cancer,” the Instagram post said.

“Andy was our brother: an incredible musician and a great person to be out on the road or out on the town with. His valuable contribution onstage to songs like ‘Rising Sun’, ‘Saturday Night’ and ‘My Baby’ will be sorely missed.’

“Our hearts break for his wife Lisa and his son Rudy,” the band added.

Frontman Jimmy Barnes — whose touring band gave Bickers his entry point into the upper tier of Australian rock — paid tribute separately. “Andy also toured many times with me, playing soul and rock shows,” Barnes wrote.

“We were friends not only because he was a great player, but he was funny, intelligent, and most importantly, he was a good man.

“Lots of love to Lisa and Rudy. You will be sadly missed, Andy,” he added.

ICEHOUSE’s Iva Davies also paid tribute to Bickers, reflecting on having recently performed with him.

“I am saddened and very sorry to hear the news about the loss of Andy Bickers,” Davies wrote in a message shared on ICEHOUSE’s social media. “We saw and performed with him only a few weeks ago.”

“Andy was a consummate musician as attested by the great array of people he performed and collaborated with along with the many he mentored and inspired,” Davies continued. “He will be truly missed by all of us within the ICEHOUSE team and by the Australian music community.”

“Our thoughts are with his family,” Davies added.

Born in Wellington, Bickers spent the 1980s working the local rock scene before relocating to Australia, first to Melbourne and then Sydney, where his tenor and baritone playing quickly established him as one of the country’s most reliable session and touring musicians. His breakthrough came via Barnes’ touring band, and by the early 2000s he had become a fixture in Cold Chisel’s live lineup.

His résumé extended well beyond Chisel. Bickers toured with Midnight Oil, Silverchair, the Eagles, Don Henley and Diesel, and recorded or performed with You Am I, the Presets, Hoodoo Gurus, Tony Hadley, and Vika and Linda.

Midnight Oil also paid tribute on social media, noting that one of his final performances was leading the brass section during a tribute to Rob Hirst at the 2026 APRA Awards.

Richard Clapton also remembered the musician, writing, “It is with heavy heart that I have to let you know that our beloved sax player Andy Bickers passed away yesterday. I have played The State Theatre 16 times and Andy was with us for virtually every one of those concerts, and made ‘Wintertime in Amsterdam’ such a special moment in the shows history. The song is not going to be quite the same this year.”

Formed in Adelaide in 1973, Cold Chisel remain one of the most commercially significant bands in Australian history, with a catalog that has produced multiple No. 1 albums on the ARIA Albums Chart. Bickers’ saxophone was central to the live renditions of some of the band’s most enduring songs, and his work across thousands of concerts and recording sessions made him one of the most quietly ubiquitous figures in Australian rock.

Wedding season continues for Taylor Swift, as she and Travis Kelce attended NFL player JuJu Smith-Schuster and Laura Kruk’s ceremony in Orange County, California, just a week after the singer’s big Madison Square Garden celebration in New York City.

Smith-Schuster is a wide receiver for the New York Giants, but previously played for the Kansas City Chiefs alongside Kelce; Kruk is known for her lifestyle and beauty content on social media. Smith-Schuster and Kruk were seen at Swift and Kelce’s wedding event last week before getting married in Orange County, California, at the oceanside Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel on Friday (July 10). Though they haven’t shared any wedding photos yet (nor have Swift and Kelce), Kruk did post an Instagram Story showing the Southern California coast with the text “let’s get you married” in the early morning hours on Saturday.

Swift and Kelce were seen in paparazzi footage from Smith-Schuster and Kruk’s wedding circulating online, strolling hand-in-hand in a video clip and seated during the service and festivities in photos.

In music news, last week the Toy Story 5 soundtrack, featuring Swift’s original song “I Knew It, I Knew You,” debuted in the top 10 on three Billboard charts: No. 1 on the Kid Albums ranking, No. 2 on the Soundtracks chart and at No. 9 on Independent Albums.

Meanwhile, Swift currently holds four spots in the top 10 on the Adult Contemporary songs chart, with “Elizabeth Taylor” sneaking in at No. 10, “I Knew It, I Knew You” holding onto No. 9, “Opalite” shining at No. 8 and “The Fate of Ophelia” finding itself at No. 7.

And in other milestone moments of 2026 for Swift, on July 8 she received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Taylor Swift/The Eras Tour/The Final Show. The nod is for her work as as both performer and producer in the category of outstanding variety special (pre-recorded), one of five categories the Disney+ special was nominated in.

Hate it or love it, the underdog’s on top. 50 Cent celebrated receiving three Emmy nominations on Wednesday (July 8) for his work producing his Diddy documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, for Netflix.

“Everybody had something to say when I announced it… now the Emmys got something to say too,” 50 boasted in a post on Instagram shortly after the nods were revealed. “3 Emmy nominations for Sean Combs: The Reckoning. You can’t argue with the work.”

The docuseries picked up nominations for outstanding documentary or nonfiction series, outstanding directing for a documentary/nonfiction program and outstanding picture editing for a nonfiction program.

The G-Unit boss received plenty of love in his comments from the likes of Busta Rhymes. “Congrats & Happy Belated Born Day King,” Busta wrote.

When 50 originally announced plans for a Diddy docuseries in 2024, many thought he was up to his typical trolling ways, but that was far from the case. The Reckoning arrived in December 2025 and immediately stirred conversation surrounding Diddy. The docuseries was broken down into four parts, detailing the rise and fall of the disgraced Bad Boy mogul, as well as a deep-dive into the history of Combs’ alleged sexual abuse tied to his federal sex trafficking case.

“I’ve been committed to real storytelling for years through G-Unit Film and Television,” 50 said in a statement when the docuseries was released. “I’m grateful to everyone who came forward and trusted us with their stories, and proud to have Alexandria Stapleton as the director on the project to bring this important story to the screen.”

Diddy was sentenced to 50 months behind bars in October 2025 for violating federal prostitution laws, but dodged much more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

Next up for 50’s film and TV empire, he’s in promo mode for Fightland. The boxing crime drama is set to premiere on Starz on July 31, and the Queens legend is promising he’s got another Power on his hands.

After a five-year hiatus, Conor McGregor returns to the octagon, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship heads to “Sin City” for UFC 329. Two top fighters face off against each other in a welterweight rematch main event, with Irish fighter Conor McGregor (22-6-0) taking on American Max Holloway (27-9-0) on Saturday (July 11).

UFC 329: McGregor vs. Holloway takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a start time of 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT. The main card begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, with the main event starting around 11:59 p.m. ET/8:59 p.m. PT.

The biggest draw of the event is the return of Conor McGregor, who’s now 37 years old, to the UFC after five years away. McGregor’s last match was in July 2021, which was a TKO loss to Dustin Poirier, so the Irish fighter is looking to show the world that he can compete at a world-class level again. McGregor’s last win in the octagon came during UFC 246 back in January 2020.

However, after their first match in August 2013, Holloway is looking for a little payback after losing to McGregor in an unanimous decision during UFC Fight Night 26 nearly 13 years ago.

Although the UFC has yet to announce each fighter’s walkout songs for UFC 329, both usually go out to the octagon to the same songs during their matches. McGregor has walked out to a remix mashup of “The Foggy Dew” by Sinéad O’Connor and “Hypnotize” by The Notorious B.I.G., while Max Holloway prefers to walk out to “Hawaiian Kickboxer” by Moke Boy.

The ad-free plan got a small price bump as well to $12.99 per month (or $129.99 per year), but it now includes Showtime, along with everything in the Essential Plan and access to your local CBS station.

After the free trial ends, your plan will automatically renew at the regular rate, but you can cancel any time.

Karol G gives TropiTour fans a new way to toast

Karol G is giving fans another way to step into the world of her Viajando Por El Mundo TropiTour. On Thursday (July 9), the Colombian superstar and 200 Copas by Casa Dragones unveiled the Chellita Sunrise as the official cocktail of the tour, designed as a sensory extension of its tropical, colorful energy. Inspired by the macaw — “a powerful symbol of Latin America’s cultural richness and the vibrant tropical bird featured in the tour’s logo,” says the press release — the drink will be featured in VIP lounges, select afterparties and Casa Dragones activations throughout the run.

The launch also comes with the Chellita Challenge, a social media contest inviting U.S.-based fans of legal drinking age to recreate the cocktail and dedicate a toast to someone special for a chance to win tickets to the tour. Rooted in the same spirit as Karol’s corridos hit “200 Copas,” the initiative extends the TropiTour universe beyond the stage and into something fans can quite literally raise a glass to.

‘Todos por Venezuela’ Mediathon Unites Artists for Earthquake Relief

A new media effort is rallying support for Venezuela. On Saturday (July 11), the “Todos por Venezuela” Mediathon will bring together artists, journalists, TV personalities, athletes, community leaders and volunteers for a 14-hour live broadcast from Mega TV’s studios in Miami, all aimed at raising humanitarian aid for communities affected by the recent earthquakes in Venezuela. The initiative, created by UNO Productions founder Luis Medina, will air on La Música TV on Roku from 10 a.m. to midnight ET, with Mega TV joining from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET, while SBS Radio and AIRE Radio Networks support the campaign throughout the day.

“What started as a simple idea quickly became a reality thanks to the generosity of incredible partners who believed in this mission,” Medina said in a statement. “I want to express my sincere gratitude to Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) for opening the doors of its national media platforms and becoming the exclusive broadcast and promotional partner of this humanitarian initiative.” The televised fundraiser will support All For Venezuela and Help For Venezuela Foundation (HEVENF), helping provide medical supplies, medicines, hospital equipment and other essential aid. The star-studded effort will feature appearances from Daniel Sarcos, Alicia Machado, Luis Enrique, José Luis Rodríguez “El Puma,” Karina, C4 Trío, Rodner Figueroa and more, while also launching “Hands & Hope – Sanaré,” an original UNO Productions song created as a tribute to the resilience of the Venezuelan people. 

Shakira Surpasses Taylor Swift on Spotify

Shakira continues to break global streaming barriers. According to a press release, the Colombian superstar has surpassed Taylor Swift to become the sixth-most-streamed artist in the world on Spotify, with more than 101.8 million monthly listeners. The milestone comes amid the worldwide success of “Dai Dai,” her FIFA World Cup anthem with Burna Boy, and just ahead of her scheduled performance at the FIFA World Cup Final halftime show on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in Rutherford, New Jersey.

Fabiola Roudha becomes South Korea’s FOR:REST LIVE’s first Latin performer

Guatemalan soul-bolero singer, and Billboard‘s On The Radar Latin alum, Fabiola Roudha has become the first non-Asian artist invited to FOR:REST LIVE, the South Korean live-session platform that has previously featured only Korean and K-pop acts such as SUPER JUNIOR’s Ryeowook, 2AM’s Jo Kwon, Younha and Heize. The session premiered Wednesday (July 8) on FOR:REST LIVE and Roudha’s YouTube channels.

The recognition builds on a relationship Roudha has steadily developed in the country in recent years, including appearances at Seoul Music Week and the Taehwariver Jazz Festival in Ulsan. Her FOR:REST LIVE set also offers an exclusive preview of music from her upcoming project, further signaling her international expansion as she also gears up for her first Canadian tour. Andy García to Receive Imagen Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award

Andy García is set to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 41st annual Imagen Awards on Aug. 21 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. The celebrated Cuban actor, filmmaker, musician and producer is being honored for a four-decade career defined by iconic performances and a lasting commitment to authentic Latino representation in entertainment.

“I am deeply honored to receive this award from the Imagen Foundation, an organization that has championed Latino talent and authentic representation for more than forty years,” said García in a statement. “This award is especially meaningful because it celebrates not only my career, but also the many artists, mentors, and audiences who have been part of it and who have inspired me. Our shared Hispanic culture is home to many important and inspiring stories that reflect the richness of our identity and our contributions to the world.”
